My Introduction to Slow Living and a Life Full of Intention

As I sit down to write my very first post, I want to share a bit about myself, my passions, how I try to live a life full of intention and what you can expect from this little corner of the internet.

Between work, obligations, and the constant buzz of our fast-paced modern world, it’s easy to forget to take a moment for ourselves.

The beginning:

My path to slow living began a decade ago when my husband and I made the leap from Brazil to Australia.

Initially, we had a clear plan: both of us had job offers doing what we loved, and the company was sorting out our visas.

However, I encountered unexpected delays with my visa process, which ended up taking much longer than planned.

So, while my husband started his new job, I had to slow down.

At that time, I was already a passionate yoga student, but I hadn’t yet felt the need to take time for myself or to savor the moment.

Juggling college in another city with a daily four-hour commute and working on weekends from sunrise to sunset, not that I’m complaining—I genuinely loved my job and enjoyed university’s life as a fashion designer student, life felt as fast-paced as it gets.

Life now:

Now, after six years of living in the heart of Dubai Marina, I continue to prioritize balance.

In a city known for its hustle, I strive to be a woman who embraces wellness, self-care, and a life of intention.

Whether it’s finding time to practice yoga, exploring a new corner of this incredible city, or curling up with a good book, I aim to live each day mindfully.

I believe that life is not merely about moving from one task to the next, but about embracing the journey and finding joy in each moment and living a life full of intention.

Thank you for joining me on this exciting adventure. I can’t wait to connect with all of you, share experiences, and inspire one another to create lives we love!

With love,
Mima
